Nomads Dream Yurt Camp — Kyrgyzstan
About this tour
Experience the ancient nomadic lifestyle of Kyrgyzstan at our traditional yurt camp, nestled deep in the breathtaking Tien Shan mountains at 2,400 meters altitude. This is not a tourist resort — it’s an authentic window into the Kyrgyz way of life that has remained unchanged for centuries.
Wake up to panoramic mountain views through your yurt door, ride horses through lush highland pastures (jailoo), learn to make traditional Kyrgyz bread, and fall asleep under a sky alive with stars in your cozy felt yurt. Our local guides share their heritage, stories, and cuisine as you truly become part of the nomadic family.
The camp sits a scenic 4–5 hour drive from Bishkek through dramatic mountain passes. Yurts are spacious, traditionally decorated with hand-woven shyrdaks (felt carpets), and warm — nights can be cool even in summer. Meals are hearty and authentic: lamb beshbarmak, freshly baked lepyoshka bread, and bowls of tangy kumiss.
Whether you’re watching an eagle obey its hunter’s call, helping herd horses at sunrise, or simply sitting with a nomadic family sharing tea — every moment at the camp connects you to something timeless.
